NSU
NSU was founded in 1873 and began to make cars around 1905. In 1957 it produced the first Prinz. NSU produced the first Wankel engined car.
In 1967 NSU lauched the revolutionary Ro80 fitted with a a twin rotor Wankel engine. NSU became part of the Volkswagen Group along with Audi and the NSU name eventually disappeared. The NSU Wankel technology did live on for a while in the VolksWagen K70 in 1970.
