The Dinky Pullmore Car Transporter. Released in May 1953 at a price of 14/6. The first version is easily identifiable as it has six rivets (three on each side) holding the trailer together. This was soon modified with the centre rivet being deleted and the remainder enlarged. This occurred in about late June, early July 1953. This example No 982 Came in a blue striped Dinky Supertoy box complete with a loading ramp in a sleeve marked 994 Loading Ramp which was marked 794. The model was renumbered 982 in January 1954 and windows were added in early 1961. The Pullmore Car Transporter made its last appearance in the July 1963 catalogue, and was deleted from production by the middle of that year. The Dinky Bedford 3-Ton Army Truck. Released June 1954 for 4/9. In September 1954 the price rose to 5/3 then in April 1958 dropped to 4/11. In May 1958 the price was 5/3 and again in August 1958 it dropped back to 4/11, by May 1959 the price had dropped another penny to 4/10. In 1961 windows were fitted and the price was revised to 5/6 where it remained until the last catalogue appearance in July 1963. The box shown, without picture was used during the first year in conjunction with the pictorial box. Marked with Royal Armoured Corp. transfers front and rear. The Dinky Army Covered Wagon. The first production of this popular model was without a driver, released in March 1954 with a price of 3/7. This price remained constant until June 1955 when it was increased to 4/-. Another increase occurred in April 1956 to 4/3, which dropped to 4/2 in May 1959. In May 1961 it was increased to 4/6, and a year later to 4/8. The Covered Wagon made its last appearance in the May 1962 catalogue, and had been deleted by the end of that year. It was based on the World War II Bedford 3-ton QL truck which was the most common British-made 4x4 truck for British Forces between 1941 and 1945.
